NO BOUNDARIES SCHOOL is a Community Interest Company dedicated to fostering the integration of the Polish community in Scotland. We proudly serve children, young people, and their families in Edinburgh and West Lothian (Livingston).

Vision and Mission:
Our vision is to celebrate and promote Polish culture, language and history while facilitating meaningful connections within our community. We strive to empower our pupils to achieve their educational aspirations and thrive in their new environment.
Our mission is to provide a robust educational program that not only nurtures Polish identity but also enhances the integration of Polish children and young people into Scottish society. Through our initiatives, we aim to bridge cultural gaps, promote inclusivity, and support our students in their personal and academic journeys.
Curriculum:
Our school provides classes according to students’ age and abilities.
The basic level for children 5-8 y.o.incorporates Polish classes with elements of history, geography and national heritage. This level is focused on learning to speak, read, write and express their mind in their mother tongue with accuracy and fluency.
In the second level children have separate classes of Polish language, History and Geography of Poland.
The advanced level is focused on preparation for taking Polish as an exam subject at Standard or Higher Grade. Further expansion of their skills and abilities is our main priority. On this stage, we help our students with college, university and job market opportunities.
Projects:
In addition to our regular classes and curricular activities, our students engage in a wide range of projects and workshops designed to enhance their learning experience.
Our projects are supported by the Polish Language Development Institute and the Polish Senate which provides our pupils with opportunities to enhance their language skills and contributes to the overall development of our institution. We are grateful to the National Lottery Awards for All for supporting our ‘Kids 4 Change’ comprehensive program that centers on sustainability, urgent global challenges, and social inequalities.
Volunteering Programme:
Our school offers a range of volunteer opportunities for both our graduates and members of the wider community. Our dedicated young volunteers participate in the Saltire Awards.
In addition, they have the chance to enhance their skills through additional Polish language classes, guided by qualified educators, and prepare for examinations that further their academic and professional development.
Partnerships:
We collaborate closely with other Polish schools in Edinburgh and Scotland, we are part of the Polish Educational Society EDUS. We have strong connections with Polish Consulate and other local organisations and charities e.g. ELREC, FCA Association, Edinburgh College, North Edinburgh Arts.
We proudly partner with Wojtek Scotland that promotes the story of Wojtek The Bear and his links between Scotland and Poland. We take a leading role in organizing the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) in Edinburgh.
